I had the idea for my new album BBC MICRO, when I saw a picture of Vince Clarke, working in his 80s studio with a bbc micro computer as a simple midi sequencer. Back in time, his studio was quite expensive, not affordable for a common working class man. But today I can emulate this kind of equipment with my computer and so I created my virtual 80s studio. I only used synthesizers and fx that where available in the early 80s to perform my songs. I wanted to reproduce that feeling from the past, which is still in my heart. And I am proud to present it on a medium, that made it possible to hear music for everyone and that could be bought for small money. An analog Tape.
